[SchoolFinance] MPFML and MEPers

Hello,
  I am not sure where to find this answer so I thought I would reach out
here to see if anyone knows the answers.  I have an employee that is out on
maternity leave. I need to complete the MEPers status change form which
brings up some questions:
* Do I complete one form with the starting date of her first day out and
ending today with the reason being "authorized leave of absence" and then
do another one starting 4/1/26 with the reason being ME PFML?
* Then I was thinking further about this and now I am wondering, do I use
4/1/26 as the first date of PFML or 4/8/26 because of the 7 day waiting
period for PFML to kick in?  I don't want MEPers to invoice them for the
first seven days that they are being paid sick time by us until the PFML
kicks in so I am not sure what date to use as a start date.
