[SchoolFinance] Inquiry Regarding MEA Salary Scale

Good Morning,

I am reaching out to gather information regarding the use of MEA Salary
Scales across districts. Specifically, our district is reviewing a scale
originally adopted for the 2008–2009 school year that uses *prior
experience solely for initial placement* on the salary scale, with all
subsequent movement based strictly on step progression.

I would appreciate hearing from any district that:

   -

   Is currently using an MEA Salary Scale structured in this manner, or
   -

   Has previously used a similar model and can share insight into how it
   functioned in practice.

Any information, examples, or reflections on your experience would be
extremely helpful as we assess this model.
