Do you collect, manage, interpret, or use water quality data?

Do you wish there were more tools available to help you with data tasks?

If so, you’re in luck! A team of National Estuary Program scientists is
developing tools for QA/QC, analysis, reporting, and sharing of discrete
and continuous surface water quality data. The team is hosting a meeting to
provide a demonstration of the existing tools
<https://massbays-tech.github.io/MassWateR/articles/MassWateR.html>,
details about upcoming improvements, and to hear your feedback on desired
functionality.

You are being invited as either a member of a community organization that
collects water quality data, or an end user of the data collected by these
organizations. If you have not already, please fill out this needs
assessment survey in advance of the meeting.

Register using the link below to ensure you receive any updates or
announcements in advance of the meeting, and please share this invitation
widely!

MassWateR Expansion Team

Background information:

MassWateR is an R package developed to automate and facilitate quality
control and exploratory analysis of data intended for upload to the EPA Water
Quality Exchange <https://www.epa.gov/waterdata/water-quality-data> (WQX).
The functions provide a streamlined and repeatable means of 1) screening
data for quality control, 2) summarizing quality control results, 3)
creating graphics for analysis and reports to stakeholders, and 4)
formatting data for upload to WQX.

As part of an ongoing effort to expand the functionality of MassWateR and
its utility for states across New England, we are seeking input from
community monitoring organizations and data end users on how MassWateR
might be able to evolve to better meet their needs.

This meeting is being co-hosted by Casco Bay Estuary Partnership,
Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Partnership, Piscataqua Regional
Estuaries Partnership, and Narragansett Bay Estuaries Program as part of a
project to expand the functionality and utility of MassWateR.

No experience with R, MassWateR, or WQX is required to participate and
contribute to this meeting.
