[SchoolFinance] [EXT] Retirement Incentives

We do have language in both Support Staff and Teaching contracts
giving payouts of sick time. Even though our cooks are not part of the
support staff contract we did the same for them last year when one retired.
Our administrators have 30 days or maximum amount.

Support Staff:
– 20 days if employed for at least ten (10) consecutive years;
– 25 days if employed for at least fifteen (15) consecutive years;
– 30 days if employed for at least twenty (20) consecutive years.

Teachers:
The Board agrees to pay each employee who retires under M.S.R.S. guidelines
or is the
subject of a reduction in force, and who has been employed at least fifteen
(15)
consecutive years in RSU 25, or its’ previous school departments, may
receive the per
diem rate of pay, for up to thirty (30) days unused accumulated sick leave
at the time of
departure.

Admin:

a)    Sick Leave Payment upon Retirement - Administrators shall be paid for
up to 30 days of unused sick leave, not to exceed $9,000, upon retirement
from RSU 25 with a minimum of seven consecutive years of service as an
administrator.
