The Maine Department of Education understands the possible need for some flexibility in the due dates of certain data given recent disruptions due to the tragedy on Wednesday, October 25th.

While we do not have a lot of room to provide too much flexibility due to deadlines by the State for updated FY 25 Budget requirements related to the FY 25 Total Cost of Education calculation; we also want to be as helpful as possible.

If your School Administrative Unit has not completed the Student and/or Staff Certification by the October 30, 2023 deadline; please attempt to have those completed, and as accurate as possible by Monday, November 6, 2023.  This is going to reduce the amount of time the department will have to validate and check the data for errors, so we would also ask that you take the time to ensure that the data is correct and complete.
