Hey everyone,
I hope you are having a safe and happy holiday season.
Following up on the Board Member compensation question from a couple of
weeks ago.
I've had a board member ask the following and am curious how other
districts might respond -
1. Would paying through payroll make them employees who are subject to
all the laws around the same?
2. Will they need to be paid minimum wage?
3. Would they be required to be covered by Worker's Comp?
4. Would FMLA apply? Especially the new one?
Thanks so much,
Jennifer
