Supporting Students Through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Vocational Rehabilitation Programs

Dear Champions of Education,

The Maine Department of Education (DOE) and the Maine Department of Labor (DOL) are pleased to offer two webinars for you to learn more about how to support your students holistically through Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth and Vocational Rehabilitation Programs in your region.

The first webinar on January 30, will focus on how to support students who are participating an Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Programs.

The second webinar on February 1, will focus on how to support students who are not involved in an ELO program.

Each webinar will include the following:

  *   WIOA Eligibility and Services
  *   Vocational Rehabilitation Eligibility and Services
  *   Success stories and examples of supporting students who are participating in ELO programming (January 30 webinar)
  *   Success stories and examples of supporting students outside of ELO context (February 1 webinar)
  *   Question and Answer

  *   How to connect to WIOA and Vocational Rehab staff and services

Joining us will be representatives from the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, Eastern Maine Development Corporation, and Goodwill Workforce Solutions.
