[MEA] Spring 2024 Maine Through Year Assessment RIT Score Recalculation

Good afternoon,

On August 22, 2024, the Maine Department of Education (DOE) posted a Priority Notice regarding the recalculation of spring 2024 RIT scores from the Maine Through Year Assessment: Spring 2024 RIT Score Information<https://mailchi.mp/maine/cu5lemq6y0-1328175?e=4f07712c44>. Please review the Priority Notice at your earliest convenience.

Impact of the Spring 2024 RIT Score Recalculation on Reports
The rescoring of students' RIT score results will be reflected in both the MAP Growth platform and the Acacia platform. NWEA has indicated that updated reports will be available according to the following timeline:

  *   Acacia Online Reporting System: Monday, August 26
  *   MAP Growth Reports: Tuesday, August 27
  *   Student Score Data File (SSDF) csv in Operational Reports in Acacia: Wednesday, August 28
  *   Individual Student Reports (ISRs): Wednesday, August 28
All student reports containing RIT score data will be impacted by the rescoring, including the RIT report, dynamic Student Report, and Individual Student Report in Acacia as well as all MAP Growth reports. If any reports containing RIT score information were printed prior to the finalization of scores, please note that the RIT score information, including growth and achievement percentiles, will no longer be accurate.

Earlier this afternoon, Superintendents and District Assessment Coordinators (as identified via NEO's Contact Search<https://neo.maine.gov/doe/neo/SuperSearch/Home/Index>) received an email with additional information regarding the score calculation and reports distribution.
