The expansion of Chapter 41<https://www.maine.gov/doe/sites/maine.gov.doe/files/inline-files/Chapter%2041%20Adopted%20Language.pdf> to include naloxone administration and education has led to a collaboration among the Maine Department of Education (DOE), Office of School and Student Supports, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of Behavioral Health, and MaineGeneral Medical Center. School personnel will receive education and be trained in naloxone administration through a train-the-trainer model. This model will cover the topic, instruction, and materials people will need to implement naloxone administration education for students and staff.
This is a 90-minute virtual training designed for school administrators, health education teachers, school nurses, and other health services personnel. Other interested school personnel are welcome to attend. Contact hours will be provided for attendees. Please share with anyone that may have interest.
