[MaineSchoolNurse] New Resources to support families and communities impacted by the Lewiston Tragedy

Hope you are all well this week. We wanted to forward these additional resources and webinar opportunities that DHHS has shared with us.


Below are several new resources for health providers caring for victims, families, and others affected by the tragedy in Lewiston.  DHHS has a dedicated webpage<https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/obh/resources-lewiston-shooting/provider-support> and tomorrow is the second of three DHHS webinars to support providers. We hope you can join us at noon on Wednesday.



Response to the Tragedy in Lewiston

  1.  Attached is a Support Map for Services for Lewiston Shooting Victims and Families from November 3 to November 12, 2023. The City of Lewiston, with the State of Maine and community partners, is establishing a Community Resiliency Center to open on November 13, 2023, for those harmed by the shooting in Lewiston on October 25. In the interim, attached is a support map with services.

  3.  DHHS will be holding two additional webinars on Wed, Nov 8 & Nov 15 (12N-1P) focused on additional BH topics:
