Troy will host CACFP Open Office Hours next week: July 15th 9 am-10 am

Below are some helpful steps when completing the agreement this year!

REMINDER: "Claim Approvers" cannot fill out the application. Only people with the "Sponsor Admin." designation can complete the application. If User assignments need to be changed, go to the "Help" tab in CNPweb, complete and submit a "CACFP CNP Web User Access Form". 2026 Agreements are due August 30th! This is a hard deadline- don't wait!!

Step 1: For the 2026 Agreement, the Sponsor first needs to click on the Application tab, then click the "+" sign on the "Sponsor Application" section. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save". This will start the application and open the checklist tab for any needed uploads. Go to Step 2.

Step 2: Go to the "Help Tab" in CNPweb- download document titled "Step-by-step Agreement Completion Instructions"- Use this document as a guide when completing your 2026 agreement. Go to Step 3.
Step 3: Find your Sponsor's name on the "Notice Page" (you may need to log out and log back into CNPweb to see the Notice Page):

  * Who do I contact regarding my agreement questions? Please contact the Reviewer named. Move on to the next bullet.
  * Is my organization receiving an Administrative Review this year?
     * If no, proceed to the next bullet.
     * If yes, it means you need to review every aspect of your agreement and ensure that every question answered is still accurate from last year. We refer to this as a "Fine-tooth Comb" agreement renewal. Everything must be correct before we approve the agreement. Move on to the next bullet.
  * Am I required to submit a budget?
     * If no, congratulations! If you are not required to submit a budget, you do not need to attach any of the documents on the checklist tab that are labeled "Budget-...." The only exceptions are: "Profit & Loss Statements" for Non-Profit Institutions, "Most Current Income Tax form 1040 including Schedule C" for For-Profit Institutions, and "Single Audit Reports" for agencies that meet or exceed the $1 million federal funding threshold. Move on to the next bullet.
     * If yes, you will need to look at the step-by-step guide on how and where to complete the specific budget for your program type. Move on to the next bullet.
  * Am I required to submit an "End of Year Report"?
     * If no, move on to the next bullet.
     * If yes, go to the "Sponsor Application" in CNPweb, and look at the answer for question #67- "Sponsor's Fiscal Year". For example, In CNPweb, it shows that Sticky Fingers Childcare operates from January to December. The "End of Year Report" must reflect data from the most recently completed fiscal year. For Sticky Fingers Childcare, the "End of Year Report" would reflect the period from January 2024 to December 2024. The checklist tab in CNPweb features an Excel Spreadsheet that must be completed as the End-of-Year Report (#51). Once complete, upload the completed report on the corresponding checklist line. Move on to the next bullet.
  * Am I required to submit documents for the "Banking Transaction Review"?
     * If no, use the Step-by-Step guide to complete all other parts of the agreement. Click on the blue button at the bottom of the checklist tab "Submit to State Agency for Approval". Email your assigned Agreement Reviewer after submitting your agreement for approval.
     * If yes, the specific month for the "Banking Transaction Review" is the last month of the most completed fiscal year. For Example, we know Sticky Fingers Childcare's most completed fiscal year is January 2024 to December 2024. Sticky Fingers Childcare must submit the required banking records for December 2024. On the checklist tab (#52) is a red downloadable PDF titled "Sponsoring Organization Bank Account Activity Review Documentation Checklist". Your organization must download this checklist and complete all required parts for your specific month. Once all documents are collected, the checklist becomes the cover sheet. All documents must then be scanned into a single document and uploaded to the checklist tab, line #52. The 2026 Agreement will not be approved until these documents have been uploaded.
        * Next, use the Step-by-Step guide to complete all other parts of the agreement. Click on the blue button at the bottom of the checklist tab "Submit to State Agency for Approval". Email your assigned Agreement Reviewer after submitting your agreement for approval.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact our office with any questions.
