Good afternoon,

School data for SY2026 was released last week. Programs can access the full Free and Reduced School Lunch % Report ("October Survey ED534 Report") by visiting the Maine Child Nutrition website: https://www.maine.gov/doe/schools/nutrition/CNDatareports Each school's Free/Reduced % is located in the column titled "Eligible %".

For Sponsors of Family Daycare Home Providers-

Please check the new school data (use link above to access report) and revise your provider information sheets in CNPweb to reflect updates. The school data should be checked for all sponsored providers. Please update provider school data no later than December 31, 2025. The certification date for providers who qualify as Tier 1 by SY2026 school data should be 12/1/2025.

If a provider does not qualify as Tier 1 by school with 2026 data, you will leave the provider information sheet unchanged. If the provider qualifies as Tier 1 by school with 2026 data, you will enter the qualifying school name and current eligible percentage on Line 33 of the provider info sheet and the certification date on Line 35 will change to 12/1/2025 (or the first day of the month they start participation in CACFP if they are new providers who start after 1/1/2026). This will give qualifying providers an additional year of Tier 1 by school qualification.

For Sponsors of At-Risk Sites-

You must use the 2026 school data (use link above to access report) to determine area eligibility for all your sponsored At-Risk sites and for At Risk sites that are added to your sponsorship starting today and until October 2026 data is released.

Please check the 2026 school data and revise your site information sheets in CNPweb to reflect updates. The school data should be checked for all sponsored At-Risk sites, and updates should be made on Line 7 of the site information sheet in CNPweb no later than December 31, 2025. The eligibility year for sites that qualify using the October 2025 data should be 2026. If a site does not qualify as At Risk with the 2026 data, you will leave the site info sheet unchanged. If the site qualifies as At Risk with the 2026 data, you will enter the qualifying school name and current percentage on Line 7 of the site information sheet, and the eligibility year will change to 2026. This will give qualifying sites an additional year of At-Risk qualification. Remember that school data is valid for a period of 5 years from the most current year that the school qualified as an At-Risk site. You must retain the school data as proof that your site(s) qualify as At-Risk sites. If any of your sites no longer qualify (the 5-year qualification period has ended), please reach out to the CACFP State Agency for guidance.

Thank you for your time and attention with this matter and let us know if you have any questions.
