[Cacfp] 2024 CACFP Agreements

Good Morning,

It is time to complete CACFP agreements for the 2023-2024 agreement year. To begin your 2024 agreement, go into CNPweb and click on the blue 2024. Please check the list below to see which of the CACFP team members will be processing each agreement. Please contact the person who is assigned to process your agreement if you have questions about completing the agreement and about needed changes when we begin processing agreements. This year, we are asking the institutions listed in bold type below to carefully review everything in their agreement and to update the entire agreement. These are the agreements that we will be "fine tooth combing", which means that we will read all of your answers even if you have not changed anything, and you may be required to make more corrections than you would if your agreement was not being "fine tooth combed". Even if your program is not listed in bold type, all institutions should carefully review their agreements and make changes and updates as needed.

2024 Agreements must be completed and submitted for approval on or before August 31, 2023. Please use the attached application/agreement instructions when completing your renewal in CNPweb

There are a few new requirements for the 2024 agreement resulting from recent state and federal audits:


  *   All programs: Your most current CACFP In-House Training documentation for staff listed in the agreement as having CACFP duties must be uploaded on the off-line forms page
  *   All programs: The CNP Web User Access Annual Certification Form must be completed and uploaded onto the off-line forms page
  *   Sponsors of family childcare providers: If you do not cover the entire county/counties that you sponsor, you must upload your Service Area policy onto the off-line forms page
  *   All programs as applicable:
The following CACFP duties must be added to Management Plan Question #25 (Staffing Plan). Add lines in the first column for the following activities when applicable and complete the chart:

     *   Creating Menus
     *   Recording Infant Meals
     *   Shopping for Food
     *   Cooking/Preparing Food
     *   Creating Standardized Recipes
     *   Collecting CN Labels/Product Formulation Statements
     *   Completing Portion Menus
     *   Tracking CACFP Income & Expenses ((Reviews receipts and allocates Food/Non-Food/Non-creditable expenses AND tracks staff time for CACFP allocating Food Labor and Administrative Labor) Programs can use the "CACFP Financial Tracking Workbook" available on our website if they don't already have a reliable system in place: https://www.maine.gov/doe/schools/nutrition/cacfp/resources/applicanttraining
     *   Preparing the monthly CACFP claim
     *   Submitting the monthly CACFP claim
     *   Ensuring that children in family day care homes are enrolled in CACFP (family day care home sponsors ONLY).
