South Portland Water Resource Protection Department - Collection Systems Division - Stormwater Intern Position (4/30/26)


The City of South Portland is currently seeking a full-time seasonal Stormwater Intern for the Water Resource Protection Department's (WRP's) Collection Systems Division. This position generally begins in mid-May and continues until late August/early September to accommodate a typical school year, with some flexibility. The salary will be $20.00 per hour.


This intern will work with the Stormwater Program Coordinator to complete Measurable Goals toward compliance with Maine's Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit. This intern will also work with WRP's Collection Systems Division staff to draft and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compile operational information about sewer and stormwater system maintenance.
