WATER RESOURCES SPECIALIST
Cobbossee Watershed District

Cobbossee Watershed District (CWD), headquartered in Winthrop, Maine, is seeking a Water Resources Specialist to join the CWD staff.  This is a full-time position.  Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related, and have knowledge of lake and watershed ecology, non-point source pollution management, lake water levels management, invasive aquatic species, and computer data management.  Primary duties involve piloting (and trailering) a 16-foot boat and collection of lake water samples, assisting with lake water levels management, and providing technical assistance on land use matters.  A valid U.S. driver's license is required.  Some experience (1 to 2 yrs.) is preferred.  In lieu of experience a Master's degree in one of the above noted disciplines may suffice.  Salary range is $53K to $63K DOE.  Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance coverage, 401K retirement plan, and paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
