Good afternoon,

The Maine Nonpoint Source Management Program 2023 Annual Report<https://www.maine.gov/dep/water/grants/319-documents/reports/2023/2023%20Annual%20Report%20FINAL.pdf> is available for download from DEPs website.

Highlights from last year include:

  *   $1.03 million in new grants for watershed planning and implementation
  *   Closed out 10 implementation projects worth $750,748 in grant funds and $691,838 in non-federal match that prevents 746.64 lbs of phosphorus, 1,087.18 lbs of nitrogen, and 757.77 tons of sediment from entering threatened and impaired surface waters across the State of Maine
  *   Acceptance of 1 9-element watershed based management plan and 1 alternative watershed based management plan
  *   Over $8 million in low interest loans for forestry related NPS projects via the CWSRF linked-deposit program
  *   631 individual trained by the Nonpoint Source Training Center
  *   New funding opportunities via the Lake Water Quality Restoration and Protection Fund ($200,500 for Alum Treatments) and the CWSRF Standalone Stormwater and NPS Planning Grant ($200,000).
