<p class="MsoNormal">The next burning question of the day, now that the DOE is no longer directly paying for the Transfinder bus routing software, how will SAUs receive funding for any bus routing software?<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Well, the exciting news is that you have already been receiving an allocation of funding for any bus routing software if you did not use the Transfinder option, and now that one will also be funded in the same manner as all the other bus
routing software options available.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">How have you already been receiving funding for transportation routing software you ask? It is already included in the Transportation Allocation calculation on Section 3 of your ED 279 EPS calculations each year.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The transportation operating allocation is determined by comparing the prior year allocation to the most recent actual expenditure data submitted by each SAU in the MEFS financial system.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The transportation allocation is determined in the following manner using the codes found in the Model Chart of Accounts:
