<p class="MsoNormal">We, DOE school finance, are sending notification about uploading your quarterly financials.

<p class="MsoNormal">For FY2025, this is <b><u>mandatory </u></b>for SAUs that are in the PreK special ed pilot cohort 1 that have taken on FAPE responsibility for kids aged 3-5 in PreK that have otherwise been under CDS.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For all other SAUs quarterly uploads are strongly recommended for several reasons:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">There are times when we need to pull financial data prior to the last quarter of the year to analyze or use in other processes to forecast and refine funding. Without the data, this
can not be done. <o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">This allows you to fine tune your coding and have it reviewed throughout the year, so that when year-end files are due, the files are fairly clean and, ideally, you are not rushing
to finalize your year-end financials. One area that we have seen that still requires a lot of attention at year end is salary and benefits lines. We are updating MEFS to error (fail) these in quarter 3 instead of allowing the file to pass to pending and “warn”
of a potential error.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">As more initiatives pass that rely on more data and more detail, quarterly uploads will become required for all.<o:p></o:p></li></ol>
