Hi Gabrielle,
We do in MSAD 55. Our Special Ed secretary manages all of the information
needed from social workers, teachers and Ed Techs and does the billing. We
meet as a team monthly to look at the revenue coming in and making sure
that we are focusing on a few “heavy hitters” students to get the most bang
for the work. Doing this allows us to make sure that the students we bill
for are spread across classrooms and we don’t overwhelm a couple of staff
members with the process. She handles it great and our goal is
$75,000-$80,000/year and we have exceeded that goal for several years now.

It is a lot of work for sure but if you have a staff member who understands
it all and is organized enough to keep all the balks in motion, it is worth
it.
