We are familiar with the wording but I was unclear if by "Plan Year" they
meant when our agreement with Anthem rolls over. For us this is July 1st
each year as it is for most school districts. We have 07 but were
second-guessing if that made it look like coverage didn't start that year
until July. Or if it should normally be 01 because we had a plan year in
place at the beginning of the year even if that plan year began the July
before.
It's an odd thing to ask for anyway as I'm not sure what it is used for by
the IRS. Why would they need to know when our plan year with Anthem rolls
over/renews?
I guess we'll stay with 07 unless other Anthem people answer that they are
using 01.
