[SchoolFinance] MEFS Account Coding

Hello School Business office colleagues,

We heard that more training would be welcome in using the MEFS system, especially in validating codes. We are looking forward to getting back to offering trainings once we are fully staffed and out of EPS season.

In the meantime, we would recommend that you take advantage of some of the resources we have online to support your work here on our School Finance Training Materials page, https://www.maine.gov/doe/funding/training-materials#:~:text=of%20School%20Construction-,Neo%20Financial%20System,-NEO%20Financial%20System.  There are various pdfs, presentations, and youtube playlists.

In particular, please see the below video that speaks directly about coding and testing out codes in MEFS at minutes 46 -50. The video is informative.

In MEFS, Menu on left  click Financial Submissions > Financial Data Submissions > center of screen click  "+Add Submission"  This will create an account line a draft that you can use to validate code.
