Notification of Phishing Attempt Targeting SAUs

Dear Champions of Education,

Several school administrative units (SAUs) received an email today that looks like it is from the Maine Department of Education (DOE) and asks SAU staff to verify important information. This appears to be a phishing attempt. We have alerted Maine IT of this action, and you should also alert your IT staff to report it as phishing. Do not click on or forward the information.

As a reminder, all Priority Notices from the Maine DOE come from communications.doe at Maine.gov<mailto:communications.doe at Maine.gov>.
