[SchoolFinance] Invoicing the Maine DOE for travel and lodging at the 2023 Maine Educator Summit

Greetings,

Over 375 Maine educators attended the 2023 Maine Educator Summit at the Augusta Civic Center from August 7 -10 of last week.  We are very anxious to reimburse you for the travel and lodging that you paid from local funds for them to attend.

For your convenience,  I am copying the information from our webpage.  If they stayed at another hotel then the most we can reimburse is the highest rate on this chart of $179.00 per night.  The mileage rate that we can pay is that of the State of Maine which is .46 per mile, regardless of what your local rate is.

The following information MUST ACCOMPANY THE INVOICE to ensure prompt payment from the state.  Each person was emailed a personal agenda of classes and that needs to accompany your detailed trial balance showing the reimbursement of said educator.  THE INVOICE WILL BE RETURNED IF THE AGENDA IS NOT ATTACHED AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A DETAILED TRIAL BALANCE.

The last date to submit for this reimbursement is October 31, 2023.  This should allow ample time for the expenses to be approved by the Committee and payment made to the attendee.  Please encourage your attendees to submit their expenses as early as possible.

Remember, your invoice is for ALL ATTENDEES to minimize processing.  If you have any questions or need further information please contact me.
