The Department began this rate determination prior to the adoption of P.L. 2021, Ch. 639. The Office of Child and Family Services in collaboration with the Office of MaineCare Services are revising the service model which will inform the development of the draft rates. This message outlines the next steps in the rate determination process.

PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT 

MaineCare and the Office of Child and Family Services are holding an online public meeting on June 15, 2023 to present draft service and rate models, along with the rationales for the recommended models. Interested stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide public comments. The models will then be posted online, and the Department will accept written comments until July 7, 2023. The Department will then provide a summary of all comments with Department responses explaining whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determination.  

As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in these meetings as we discuss the draft rate model recommendations and collect feedback on these important changes.
