Good morning, My Dream Team Colleagues,
Please see below request for support from our colleagues at the University of Oregon. They need feedback on an employability social skill curriculum specifically designed for justice-involved youth from:
1. correctional education teachers, and
2. VR Pre ETS counselors.
And they are offering $50 gift cards for their efforts.
So my ask: Could you forward their request to our SPPS schools/teachers and ask for their feedback before the deadline, August 15th, 2023.
Curriculum details
The Ready for Wages Curriculum: The Ready to Wages is a 14 activity-based lesson curriculum to develop the employability social skills of youth involved in juvenile services. It provides hands-on scenarios, role-plays and activities to practices these skills.

Hi all: The University of Oregon is recruiting correctional education teachers and VR PreETS providers who work with justice involved youth to provide feedback on a training platform to learn how to teach an employability social skill curriculum specifically designed for justice-involved youth. You are receiving this email as you are the state transition related contact for special education or vocational rehabilitation. A flyer is also attached that can be forwarded also.
Thank you for helping us gain feedback on this training platform before we begin disseminating the curriculum.
Below is text that could be forwarded to your correctional education teachers and VR PreETS providers.
You are invited to provide feedback on a teacher training platform for an Employability Social Skill Curriculum. The purpose of the training platform is helping teachers and or VR Pre-ETS providers to learn about how to implement the curriculum. For completing this feedback evaluation, you can receive $50 gift card as a thank you for your efforts. The deadline for completing the feedback review is August 15th, 2023.
