Bravo to Alison Ramsdell, School Nurse at Reeds Brook Middle School, who helped coordinate donations to assist hurricane victims in the south. Alison rallied her school and local communities to supply baby formula, OTC medications, toiletries, clothes, towels,

Pertussis- The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) reports 101 pertussis cases between January 1 and October 23, 2024. This surpasses the 76 cases reported throughout all of 2023. Ages ranged from 1 month to 55 years old. Teenagers (13-19
years old) accounted for 43% of cases. Children under 5 years old accounted for 26% of cases. </div>

The Maine Department of Education, the Maine Association of School Nurses, and the National Association of School Nurses have been collaborating on a pilot project funded by the Leona M and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based
school nurse T1D curriculum, which aims to improve care coordination through school nurses for students with type 1 diabetes. This curriculum will consist of two segments that complement each other. The National Curriculum is currently being reviewed by the

What is PFA? A full-scale public health response to disasters must attend to both the physical and mental health needs of affected groups. The latter set of needs is especially important because far more individuals will report psychologically related complaints
