Good morning all,

Below are the notes from our October Office Hours yesterday. Feel free to reach out to us with any needs or questions!

COVID19 Tests-we do not have any resources for schools to order tests. If desired, the school unit would need to find a supplier to order from.

Health Records—File Folders—We want your input on the manila health folders that get ordered from DOE. The requirement for SAUs is to have uniform health record. Using this printed folder is not required and may be an outdated practice. Please complete this form <https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=q6g_QX0gYkubzeoajy-GThpeSpUHzSBCte6O4sxeuMBUNkpKUDVWQ1BOUUc5QlVXTkpXUTZLUVlCNS4u> to provide us with your feedback.

LD 867<https://legislature.maine.gov/backend/App/services/getDocument.aspx?documentId=102986> A school may maintain a supply of undesignated ready-to-use glucagon rescue therapies in a secure location that is immediately accessible to a school nurse and unlicensed school personnel. A supply of undesignated ready-to-use glucagon rescue therapies must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. A school nurse or unlicensed school personnel may administer an undesignated ready-to-use glucagon rescue therapy to a student with a known diagnosis of diabetes if the student's prescribed glucagon is not available on site or has expired.

LD 1315<https://legislature.maine.gov/backend/App/services/getDocument.aspx?documentId=103706> requires public school shall offer training to secondary students on how to administer naloxone hydrochloride, as defined in section 6307, subsection 1, paragraph C, in nasal spray form. The rules adopted by the department under this section must provide that the training is an extracurricular instruction, that instruction is delivered by a qualified individual and that the standards for instruction are based on those of a nationally recognized program, organization or agency. DOE is beginning rule making process. No action needed at this point in time.
