Year 2 of Workforce Development Projects for School Nurses (2023-24)

With the goal of increasing the number of nationally certified school nurses in Maine (up to 50), the Maine DOE will assist with the costs associated with becoming nationally certified for a limited number of qualified school nurses.

To be eligible for this opportunity, school nurses must:
1. Be employed to work in a Maine school for at least one year
2. Hold a current 524 professional or conditional endorsement from the Maine Department of Education
3. Meet eligibility requirements by the National Board for Certified School Nurses: https://www.nbcsn.org/ncsn/eligibility/
