At Morse High School, Unified Literacy brings students with and without intellectual disabilities together as learning partners, creating a vibrant community of readers, learners, and leaders. Through reading, writing, visual and performing arts, field trips, and games, students collaborate, communicate, and connect in meaningful ways. This session will be led by the presenters and students to demonstrate how inclusion, creativity, and shared experiences help every student feel seen, heard, and valued, including strategies that attendees can bring back to their own classrooms.

Presenters:
Unified Literacy Students
Dawn Lee, School Librarian, Morse High School, Bath, Maine; Co-teacher of Unified Literacy; 2026 Maine Teacher of the Year Finalist; 2025 Sagadahoc County Teacher of the Year; Library of Congress American Memory Fellow, Smithsonian American Art Museum Teacher Fellow; National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Teacher Fellow
