Hi all,<br>
Would your town/city/company be interested in being part of a tribute to the 2 gentleman who died last week while working on I-95?<br>
The Commissioner is planning to organize a vehicle procession in honor of Dwayne Campbell and James Brown, the two gentlemen that were killed last Tuesday in Waterville. We currently do not have a date set for this event as the families have asked that we hold
it after their 2 funerals.<br>
I'm reaching out to municipal and private companies to gauge how much interest there would be in participating in this event with us? If interested, it would involve bringing either a pickup (or sedan) or a dump/plow truck to form a long procession on I-95.
Initially we are thinking about leaving from Fairfield, traveling south on I 95, stopping briefly at the bridge where the accident occurred then continuing to the Augusta Civic center for a brief ceremony.<br>
At this time, all I'm asking is if your town or company would be interested in participating with a vehicle so we can judge the magnitude of this event. Once the families make funeral arrangements, we will firm up a date for this event. Thanks for your consideration.<br>
