FW: Maine Local Roads Center - LRAP, Workshops & Salt

Good morning & happy Monday all!

May you be enjoying this beautiful summer weather!  I know that I am!!  😊  Now that it’s mid-July, we turn the corner towards planning Fall workshops.  I’m looking to see WHO & HOW MANY are interested in Snow & Ice again this year.   Again, still being short-staffed, this is the one workshop that I can guarantee.  I’m still looking to do at least one other workshop, if possible, perhaps a few more Drainage, Drainage, Drainage classes due to demand ….

What would you be interested in & how many would be attending?  Is there something that we are NOT offering that you would be interested in?  What are you biggest needs?

LRAP ($30.4M of Highway Fund dollars that we provide to all municipalities based on your lane miles) is going out this week via Docusign to each Town Office contact.

Out of over 250 municipalities that expressed interest in purchasing Salt via MaineDOT, close to 160 opted IN this year.  Those that ACCEPTED the price should see their final Master Agreement from me in a few weeks as the Office of Procurement finalizes these.  Stay tuned…..
