Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to inform you of a few staffing changes in MaineDOT's Bureau of Planning. We have recently had the pleasure of bringing on two new planners, who will be supporting a variety of efforts across the state:

Michael Hori will be serving as the Regional Planner for MaineDOT Regions 2 (midcoast)  & 3 (western). In this capacity, he will also serve as the point of contact for MaineDOT's contracts with AVCOG, KVCOG, LCRPC, and MCOG.

Kathryn Grond will be serving as a Statewide Planner, supporting planning studies, policy implementation, and discretionary funding applications statewide through data- and research-driven review, modeling, and analysis.

As part of this reorganization, Matthew Drost will transition to serving exclusively as the Region 1 Planner (southern). Please note that some ongoing projects will continue to be handled by the current MaineDOT project managers. If a change of project managers for a current project is planned, Bureau of Planning staff will inform you and work with you to manage the handover.
