This email is going to every town/city/county in Maine. Please forward this to any others who may be interested in this info........ Police or Fire, Road Com's'rs, PWDirectors, selectboard, etc......... thanks.
This email is to notify you of Electric Vehicle Charging opportunities for both Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers. These are brought to you by MaineDOT and our partner Efficiency Maine Trust. Please share this notice with anyone you think will be interested.
Earlier this year, Maine was awarded a $15 million grant from the Federal Highway Administration's Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) Discretionary Grant Program to deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging across the state. To distribute these funds, Efficiency Maine has launched six Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Four of the RFPs offer funding for Level 2 chargers at different types of properties and communities: multifamily buildings<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities/rfp-em-022-2024/>, large workplaces<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities/rfp-em-027-2024/>, community locations<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities/rfp-em-030-2024/> (such as libraries, parks, and event venues), and Regional Service Centers<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities/rfp-em-033-2024/>. The two DC Fast Charging RFPs each target a specific set of cities and towns:
EM-034-2024 "Corridor"<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities/rfp-em-034-2024/> locations: Bar Harbor, Bethel, Bingham, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor, Carrabassett Valley/Eustis, Old Orchard Beach/Saco, Wells/Ogunquit
EM-035-2024 "Community"<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/rfp-em-035-2024/> locations: Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Dover-Foxcroft, Lewiston, Norway/Oxford, Portland, Sanford, South Portland, Westbrook
For an overview of these programs and basic EV charging information, see this link<https://www.efficiencymaine.com/docs/CFI-EV-Charger-Funding-Brochure.pdf>.
To apply to these programs, go to www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities<http://www.efficiencymaine.com/opportunities>.
Also........ MaineDOT has a Virtual Public Meeting on Maine's Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Plan<https://bit.ly/MainePEVID>. The plan outlines our plan for deploying EV infrastructure and states our goals and objectives. This plan will allow Maine to be eligible for Federal funding, including discretionary grants. Comments will be accepted until September 16th.
Questions....... follow the links for contacts.......please do not call me.
