Greetings,

As of the sending of this email we have 173 attendees registered for the Summit, 75 more than this time last year.  The department goal is to double that number before the end of the registration period.  I have also received many an email letting me know how many from a district are coming and how excited they are about spending time with other colleagues and the caliber of presentations being offered.  This is YOU that they are raving about.  Your offerings of presentations are top quality and very relevant to the educators we serve.  KUDOS TO EACH OF YOU!!!  I am looking forward to another very successful event for our Educators.

Any event of this caliber and size is bound to meet with some snags.  I want to personally thank those of you who have met with challenges in presenters and schedules for your patience and understanding. There are many moving parts that change and you have responded professionally and with grace.

The final days of registration for the 2023 Maine Educator Summit are upon us.  Registration closes at end of business on July 19.  Please reach out to your LISTSERVE contacts one more time urging them to take advantage of this professional development opportunity. We are also sponsoring a poster contest this year to add to the recruitment and retention of educators. The information regarding what room you will be assigned is not available until we process all registrations and see the total attendance for each presentation.  I will get them to you as soon as possible.  You will have to register for the Summit, if you haven't already done so, PLEASE DO!
