[Cacfp] CACFP Fourth Quarter Reminder

Good Morning,

As we near the fourth quarter of the 2026 agreement year,

Daycare Home Sponsors, please review your CACFP administrative income and expenses to ensure you don't have any unexpended funds. Please plan to spend excess funds before September 30, 2026, to avoid having a carryover of 2026 funds and/or having to return excess funds to USDA. Any prior year CACFP Surplus will be reported as part of the annual budget.

Center Sponsors, please review your CACFP income and expenses to ensure you don't have any excess unexpended funds. A non-profit service balance is considered "excessive" when more than three months' average expenses are retained. Please plan to spend excess funds before September 30, 2026, to avoid having a surplus of 2026 funds. Any prior year CACFP Surplus will be reported as part of the annual budget.
