[Cacfp] Center/Provider License Updates

Good Afternoon,

Our office has identified that the edit check for the effective dates of center/provider licenses is not functioning correctly. All centers/providers with expired licenses have been sent back for correction. If a license has not been updated with new effective dates and the center/provider is still approved to provide care with a status of "Renewal in Progress," in Childcare Choices<https://www.childcarechoices.me/>,  please note that you must change the expiration date to the first day of the month following the claim month.

For example:

If Sticky Fingers Childcare wants to submit a claim for January 2026, but their license expired on December 2, 2025, the claim system will reject the January claim for reimbursement. Sticky Fingers will need to log into Childcare Choices<https://www.childcarechoices.me/> and verify that the Center License status indicates "Renewal in Progress." Then, Sticky Fingers Childcare should update the license expiration date on the site sheet to February 1, 2026. The State Agency staff will verify this information with Childcare Choices. Once approved, Sticky Fingers Childcare will be able to submit the reimbursement claim for January.

If the license has not been updated by the following month, Sticky Fingers will need to revise the license expiration date to March 1, 2026, before submitting the February reimbursement claim. This process will continue monthly until the license is updated.
