Important Commercial Recall Notification: Corn Dog Products
USDA has shared an important recall notice regarding two manufacturers:

  *   Hillshire Brands Company - Recall issued September 27, 2025
  *   Foster Farms - Recall issued October 4, 2025
Both recalls involve corn dog products that may be contaminated with extraneous material, specifically pieces of wood embedded in the batter.

Key Points:

  *   These recalled products were not part of USDA Foods distribution.
  *   However, some Sponsors may have purchased these products through commercial channels.
  *   If your program purchased these items, do not serve or consume them.
  *   Products should be disposed of immediately or returned to the place of purchase.

What You Should Do

  *   Check your inventory for any Hillshire Brands or Foster Farms corn dog products purchased through commercial distributors.
  *   Share this information with all staff responsible for food preparation and menu planning.
  *   Ensure recalled products are removed from all service areas and storage immediately.
